Memo to Trump: We shouldn’t act like terrorists
For some time now, Donald Trump has been criticizing the American response to the challenge of terrorism. Instead, he has maintained that his administration would support the use of “waterboarding and much worse.” He has even suggested the killing of the wives and children of terrorists.
Trump seems to be supporting the notion that the way to fight against terrorism is to adopt the techniques of the terrorist. If America is to continue to be properly seen as the “shining city on a hill,” it cannot stoop to the level of the terrorist in its effort to confront terrorism.
