Evangelical failure fuels Trump’s rise

The Bee headline on May 1 read: “Trump Dominates.”

Well, Trump certainly does dominate in the world of the uniformed and angry. Trump’s attraction to those voters is a symptom of the moral decay of this country. How can those evangelicals support that candidate who has acknowledged that “New York values” support his view on partial-birth abortion? How can those same evangelicals support the candidate who is a bully and denigrates women on a regular basis? How can those evangelicals support a candidate who supports grown men being in a bathroom with a little girl?

Simple. The churches have failed to teach their congregations right from wrong. You pastors need to start doing what you were commissioned to do: Teach the flock.
