Kitten rescue story warms the heart
Last week I saw a refreshing sight above the fold of The Bee: the photograph of a firefighter with a kitten on his shoulder and the article regarding the apartment fire and kitten rescue. The fact that the kitten was unharmed and taken to the fire station warmed my heart.
If I didn’t own two cats of my own, two stray cats that adopted my backyard and a kitten – who had been hit by a car and had to have a leg amputated – I would have been first in line to adopt the rescued kitten.
Kudos to The Bee for publishing something other than bad news, and big kudos to the firefighter.
