Arming Kingsburg teachers gets an A+

Thumbs up to the Kingsburg school board trustees for allowing school teachers to carry firearms.

Every school in the U.S. should follow suit to give the gun-toting assassins the message that they should think twice before entering a campus. I trust the teachers will receive proper gun-safety instructions and target practice; that’s why students and parents shouldn’t be concerned about armed school teachers. In fact, they should feel safe, because it would be like having a police officer in the classroom.

The gun absolutely belongs in the classroom where they may have to use it at any given moment – not in a locker. Keep in mind that no gunman is going to wait for the teacher to fetch the gun from a locker. The teachers should also exercise safety precautions by keeping the gun concealed, not exposed in a holster where anybody can grab it.

I hope and pray that no school teacher will ever be forced to use the weapon. My very best wishes to the Kingsburg school teachers and school board.
