Women should rally behind Hillary

To Democratic and Republic women friends: your attention please!

For many years, we have worked to elect qualified women to public office: local boards, commissions and city councils; the Assembly and state Senate; and Congress.

Now, at long last, we have the opportunity to elect a very highly qualified woman to the office of president of the United States.

Hillary Clinton has served long and well as first lady and assistant to President William Clinton. She served two terms as senator representing the state of New York; and most recently was secretary of state for President Barack Obama.

Now, some women are using petty excuses to vote for her opponent – a man who promises all sorts of benefits with no idea how to pay for them.

Shame on you! Give Hillary the credit she deserves and validate your claimed support for women in elective office! Campaign and vote on her behalf so that she becomes the first woman president of the United States. Give her four years, then evaluate again.
