Break up cable monopolies, then PG&E

“Right now, too many companies are engaging in behaviors that stifle competition, stacking the deck against consumers, workers and small businesses.”

This quote, in part, is taken from President Obama’s weekly national radio address broadcast April 16 regarding his executive order that he issued last week to create more competition in the TV cable box business.

The president stated further that his administration is taking measures to encourage competition because “Competition is the most essential ingredient for a healthy free market.”

All hail the chief. He gets it!

Now, do you think that it would be too much to ask that a similar executive order be initiated to introduce competition to break up the monopolistic cartel of Pacific Gas and Electric?
