Brown and lawmakers didn’t think about retirees
On behalf of fixed-income retirees and disability recipients in California, I would like to thank the Legislature and governor for relegating these individuals to being home bound because of selling out to the unions and political pandering with passage of the $15 minimum wage.
This “class” of individuals over the next three to five years stand a very good chance of becoming homeless or panderers themselves. It is very expensive to go out to eat at most restaurants today, let along to imagine what it will be like in five years. I foresee many businesses closing (including national chains pulling out).
This coupled with Workers Compensation Insurance (not to mention Obamacare) will drastically increase their costs which will affect the direct cost to the consumer.
Politicians (and unions) have done it again!
