Victor Davis Hanson has selective amnesia

Victor Davis Hanson’s recent remonstration against university students’ “frenzied” quest for political correctness by renaming buildings and discarding seals and relics of past historical figures now deemed “tainted,” is quite ironic and hypocritical, considering that he refers to Alexander the Great as “Alexander the Killer.”

Mr. Hanson’s selective amnesia regarding transformative historical figures and comparative time frames is suggestive of the same bias and lack of perspective he attributes to others. The Greeks aptly named this “hubris.”
