Kingsburg gun policy is politically driven
As a student at Kinsgburg High School, I am wildly uncomfortable with the new policy on firearms, and I’m definitely not the only one.
This is a very extreme step to take, especially when we have no fences, only have one brief and very informal lockdown a year that nobody even takes seriously, and our teachers are told not to lock their doors.
If we’re so concerned about active shooters, why haven’t we taken other steps first? All the evidence points to the fact that our school board is pushing a political agenda, and I am disturbed that they’re risking our safety to do so.
