Egyptian pyramids would create jobs, too

Do we really need high-speed rail in California? No, for several reasons.

The cost is astronomical to build the system. The state already has an excellent rail network in place called Amtrak. It does a very good job serving the travel needs for thousands of Californians. It’s already in place and won’t cost $64 billion or more to build.

I also don’t see large numbers of folks pounding the table, demanding we have more passenger trains. It seems like the only reason supporters of this bloated project can give for building this is that it will create “thousands of jobs.”

If that is the only reason, then why don’t they build several large Egyptian pyramids up and down the state. Building pyramids will create hundreds of thousands of jobs.
