Easter is becoming another Halloween
As I read the article about Easter services celebrating faith, courage and kindness, I can’t help but wonder if the celebration of Easter is not turning into another Halloween!
One sentence mentioned a family coming out of their place of worship and heading to not one, but two, Easter egg hunts. When churches or organizations feel they must provide thousands of plastic-filled eggs for children to pick up and put in their baskets, it seems as though we are forgetting the real meaning of Easter.
What happened to the old-fashioned way of being happy with a chocolate egg or bunny to celebrate? I guess my age shows when thinking about the good old days and the joy of Easter!
