Gov. Brown goes easy on offenders
I couldn’t believe what I read in an article in The Bee on Feb. 27 about Gov. Jerry Brown letting a drunk driver out on parole. This was a repeat offender who was involved in a fatal collision. Brown has even granted parole for lifers serving time for murder.
In the case of the drunk driver, he modified the grant of parole to prohibit him from operating a vehicle, drinking alcohol and entering any bar or liquor store.
Wow, does Gov. Brown really think that man will abide by those rules? Does he not know what repeat offenders are? It doesn’t make sense. If we could keep all offenders in jail/prison, we would have a lot less crime.
