Stick with Prop. 1 water plan
In response to Aubrey Bettencourt’s Valley Voices message, “Water not Train,” we don’t need another initiative on the November ballot to “muddy the waters.”
We also don’t need to create more reasons for litigation regarding water rights. Nor another bureaucratic water authority in Sacramento. Let the California Water Commission do its job developing water storage projects and regulations.
Finally, we don’t need to stop, delay or redirect funding for water projects established by the Proposition 1 water bond.
We should have passed Proposition 1 decades ago. Rather than pass a new ballot measure, let’s put pressure on Sacramento to complete the projects that Proposition 1 is funding.
