Remembering a giant, Harold Parichan

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Harold A. Parichan.

My father, Morris Cocola, was a close friend and Mr. Parichan was our lawyer for our family fruit-growing and packing operations for many years.

Mr. Parichan was a giant in the legal community at the local, state and national levels.

I would like to refer everyone to the Jan. 3 article in the Los Angeles Times by Ralph Vartabedian that was a complete and outstanding chronicle of Mr. Parichan’s life.

It is unfortunate that The Fresno Bee never wrote a story about Mr. Parichan’s life. After all, how many people who still live in Fresno could say they had a home next to Bill Gates in Palm Springs?

Gary Cocola, Fresno
