Wake up before Trump wins

One of the greatest joys of my life is being a grandparent. But I fear for for our country’s future and for our children when the candidates cannot stand on a stage together without speaking negatively and ridiculing one another.

As parents and grandparents, we are trying to teach our children to speak kindly and positively to each other. When my precious grandson, pointed out Donald Trump on TV, he said, “Grandma, I don’t want him to be president.” I asked him why. His answer: “He doesn’t like Mexicans and I am Mexican.”

What if Trump becomes president, how many children would feel that their president didn’t like them? Shame on him! Do we want a president that doesn’t think before he speaks? When we go to vote we really need to listen to what these people are saying – even more what they are not saying. He continues to speak about “deals.”

Can’t we hear this loud and clear? We can either love God or money, not both. For our children, we need to wake up and listen!
