I would vote for Obama again
I read your editorial page religiously every day, it’s superb! I have been reading it for at least the last 71 years.
My first letter to The Bee was published in 1944. It supported the third re-election of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. I was 14. I wore an FDR button. My uncle Howard Riley, a Republican, told me to take it off. He said that I was too young to wear it, let along to write a letter to The Bee.
I listened to President Obama’s recent press conference on Valley Public Radio. He said he was not sorry to not be on the ballot in November. In 1944, he could have been.
That’s our loss, the nation’s and the world’s! Like FDR, he has led us in peace and war magnificently. History will affirm that judgment. I would again vote for him.
