Long hair OK for boys, but not skimpy attire on girls
I totally support this young man William Pleasant in terms of him standing up for what he believes in. Whether people agree with him or not he should be commended for the actions he is taking concerning the Clovis Unified School District dress code.
The world is changing. Everyone has their place in our society as it should be and not everyone fits the mold of the majority. A rigid system that allows no flexibility will only stifle the minority and that is not healthy for us as a society.
In terms of what is appropriate and what is not what I can say is this. I do not have children and I am shocked at what teenagers and young girls wear. I cannot believe that people are so worried about a young man’s haircut but apparently not the miniskirts and such that young girls are allowed to wear.
