Reformers are the real Clovis bullies

Our family moved to northeast Fresno in 1992. One of the biggest attractions was the Clovis Unified School District, which provided excellent education opportunities for our children. CUSD creates a disciplined learning environment with clear expectations for student behavior. The dress code is a small but significant factor in maintaining that positive environment.

So now we have agitators pushing for a repeal of dress codes to promote ethnic pride, gender neutrality, or some such nonsense. These folks should be grateful their children have the opportunity for a quality education.

They should stop trying to distort this successful system by imposing their selfish social agendas. I hope the Clovis Unified board prevails in the effort to maintain the current standards.

Bullying is supposed to be a bad thing. Here we have disgruntled students with trivial complaints, backed up by indulgent parents and armed with American Civil Liberties Union lawyers. They are all lined up to attack and degrade a system that provides wonderful opportunities for all CUSD children. It seems like a particularly noxious example of bullying to me.
