I’m not feeling ‘the Bern’
The country will feel “the burn” if Bernie Sanders or The Donald takes the reins. The millennium-voter phrase “feel the Bern” is catchy with those without an iota of what will happen if they vote Bernie in. Right now, it’s a great college, rah-rah moment and a lot of fun throwing caution to the wind absent any rational outcome.
Does this groupie cast take into account the debt, congressional cooperation, the issue of free health insurance, free tuition, how to pay, and, God forbid, either Trump or Bernie commanding the military? One of them handling our foreign policy, etc.?
“Ay, chihuahua.” Let’s be real: The crazy promises will never happen for the crazies.
Let’s hope the winner-take-all states and super delegates usher in reality and bring quality and rational behavior to the Oval Office. But if the crazies take out the best qualified, Hillary Clinton, please stay crazy and out-crazy the other herd – the one that supports the racist, xenophobic, nativist demagogue and megalomaniac who’s the hero of all the angry patriotic phonies.
America will stay “great” – only if the voters look before leaping.
