Recipients of ‘angel messengers’

Our grandson is employed at the Clovis IHOP. With his work, freshman college classes, practices and competition sessions in his chosen academic field, we seldom see him. We had appointments and shopping in town, so we thought we’d stop at IHOP, see our grandson and have breakfast.

In the short distance on Shaw Avenue from Temperance Avenue to IHOP we encountered two “traffic weavers” – those who cut others off so they can rush to wait at the next stoplight. My irritation mounted and I thought, “Are there any nice people anymore?”

Less than an hour later, that question was answered when we were told that three “angel messengers” had paid for our meal. We don’t know why we were chosen for this kind, unselfish act but we greatly appreciated it. And it gave me a timely, much needed attitude adjustment! Yes, there are some nice people. We are looking forward to following their example!

Thank you and God bless!
