Dress code isn’t broke so don’t fix it
Dress codes have been around for some time, and I survived a stringent one. Girls had to wear dresses and pants were not allowed.
Clovis Unified School District’s board is doing a great job and is right on with the dress code. Laws are not set in stone, and I think that was the point that Ginny Hovsepian was making.
I’m not sure if Gerald McMenamin of Clovis (letter Feb. 6) is at odds with the dress code or is just interested in attacking Ms. Hovsepian and the board with regard to its decision.
CUSD continues to prepare students for the real world and workforce. I wouldn’t attack something that has worked so well all these years. As the adage goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Lastly, if you don’t like what’s going on in Clovis, there are other ways of life.
