Fresno’s hypocrisy about the homeless
Fresno is a cesspool of hypocrisy when it comes to helping people; we are on a continuous mission of do-gooder antics.
How Christian and virtuous our mayor and supervisors appear as they stride by homeless hangouts and turn up their noses at the nauseous smell of debauchery. While they profess their love of Christ, not even a dollar can be spared for a panhandler because it may be wasted on beer instead of indigestible fast food.
Excuse me, but we are no longer industrious in job creation. Maybe the drunkard needs a job so he can go home and pay the bills. Maybe he was thrown out by his spouse after his latest layoff. Maybe he is a devout and God-fearing Christian but all hell broke lose because the division between rich and poor is a necessity in this wealthy town that does not care about the poor and impoverished.
Maybe the Rescue Mission and Poverello House are just a ruse of green beans and potatoes that expand the waistline and raise cholesterol. The stinky winos ingest their buttered potatoes while the politicians feed their palates with organic meats and vegetables.
