Trustees should follow law or resign

On the question of dress codes, the majority of the Clovis Unified Board of Trustees chooses to have the district break the law. Apparently the board majority believes it is only obligated to follow those laws they like. Are students, faculty and staff now given the option to only follow those rules with which they agree?

I frequently make less than complimentary comments to my younger relatives about their dress or personal adornment. But it would never occur to me to violate an oath of office and waste taxpayer dollars to break the law. I live in Clovis Unified’s jurisdiction and so pay taxes directly to it. If the board majority cannot follow the law, they should resign.
