Fresno Unified money is better spent in classroom

On the morning of Jan. 29, I was watching the news and saw what appeared to be an advertisement by Fresno Unified School District. I can understand why Fresno Unified feels that it needs to sway public opinion. However I do not believe that it should be spending money on spin doctors from out of state and television commercials to blindfold the public.

This is taxpayer money that should be spent on achieving the goals of the new campaign rather than trying to make the district look better. If that money was spent on supplies for classrooms and increasing the resources students have to be more successful rather than on paying attorneys, public-relations specialists and protecting their favorite builders from litigation, the goals the district puts forth might actually be achieved.
