Help us send books to Africa
The eighth grade of Willow Glen Elementary in Visalia has undertaken an amazing project: collect the donated books at our school and ship them to “Books for Africa.” This organization provides books to students in Africa without access to literature.
So far, Books for Africa has shipped an incredible 39 million books to 49 different countries. We have sent 420 books to this organization, and the postage costs have graciously been provided by people and businesses in our community.
Any donation, no matter the size, would be a great help to our project, named “Adopt a Box.” It costs about $70 to ship a box to the nearest Books for Africa warehouse in Atlanta. To reach our goal of providing 1 million books, we need your help. Please contact us at 310 N. Akers St., Visalia, 93291, and make out checks to Willow Glen Elementary. You can call (559) 754-6149 or email eli.al9968@vusd.us.
Adopt a box and create the building blocks of education!
