Ted Cruz is really a moderate

Our forefathers gave us a constitutional republic embodying rights, freedoms, liberty and responsibility. For America, history has proved that following the Constitution is the moderate course.

The very term, moderate, implies extremes in both directions. In politics, the extremes of both right and left terminate at the same place – tyranny. From the citizen’s point of view, our country’s path toward either fascism or Marxism appears quite similar.

George Bush signed the Patriot Act and it was continued by Barack Obama. Leaks by Edward Snowden revealed that the National Security Agency abused the privacy rights of American citizens under both presidents.

America is considering candidates of the right and left to be our 45th president. We have a narcissistic socialist as our leader. I find his programs and goals congruent with the avowed socialist Bernie Sanders, and Hillary Clinton promises she would be President Obama’s third term.

The leading Republican candidate, Donald Trump, appears to be a narcissist with little regard for constitutional restraint and fascistic tendencies. The only candidate swearing and demonstrating constitutional fidelity is Sen. Ted Cruz. He must be the moderate in this race.
