Together we must heal our nation

The U.S. became a great nation for one reason. The people. The people worked together, built together and suffered together with one goal: freedom for all, but not without respect. People strove together to overcome weakness, prejudice and differences. This nation was not built because of the accomplishments of a dictator, king or president sitting in a chair in a special building. One person cannot and will not make it great again.

Each family member cares for and respects every member of a family or it falls apart. Our nation can overcome anything and everything only if we realize we are all in this together. We will always be individually unique. If the poor hate the rich and the rich hate the poor and if a person is deemed worse or better because of political beliefs, our nation will fail. When we fail to be good neighbors, friends and co-workers, and when our mere opinions cast us apart, we fail from deep inside ourselves.

We need to rise above our differences and heal this nation. Because it is worth it. Because we can.
