Grassroots power can reshape America
Three things in the news recently made me sit up and take notice. It was revealed that half the campaign spending for the 2016 election has come from 158 families. Item two was that the majority economic group is no longer the middle class. With the rich getting richer, there are more poor people than middle class. And three, pediatricians are being asked to keep a database on malnourished American children in the U.S., as there are now 15 million!
So we are becoming a country of very rich corporations and families who control our politics, and then there is rest of us with little power. Huge majorities of people polled believe that the Supreme Court decisions that corporations are people and that money is speech are wrong. This is true for Republicans and Democrats, people on the left and people on the right.
Move to Amend is a grassroots organization working to take our country back from the rich and powerful by working to get a constitutional amendment passed that corporations are not people and that money is not speech. You are invited to join in this campaign. Contact fresno@movetoamend.org.
