Quit speeding on Highway 99
One of my major pet peeves is how drivers do not understand “speed limit.” On my latest trip down Highway 99, I set my cruise control at 70 mph and counted the number of vehicles that sped past me.
In a 14-mile stretch, 48 vehicles passed me – many doing in excess of 80 mph. Some were in company vehicles and one of those had a bumper sticker that said “Safety is our goal.” Too bad he was driving too fast for me to record the toll-free number and report him.
I also observed people on cell phones and with ear buds, which we know are not allowed. I’m tired of this reckless behavior by people who are just plain breaking the law. I know this will infuriate many because there are many who are guilty. Your life, your family and your job are no more important than mine. Please obey the law. You expect it of others. At least I hope you do.
