Chowchilla High cartoon is off target
The editorial cartoon in The Bee on Jan. 17 depicts Chowchilla High School as some sort of bullying dictator denying computers to the students. I don’t know all of the facts regarding the gift of these computers, but this cartoon is way over the top, and Chowchilla High deserves better.
I am retired now, but I live in Chowchilla and I taught at Chowchilla High for 38 years. The school has great administrators, great teachers and great students. The Bee should be more careful to make sure that its editorials and editorial cartoons are appropriate to the issue.
