It’s the criminal, not the gun

I am frustrated with President Obama trying to control guns and gun laws for law-abiding citizens who own guns.

Obama has been frustrated by Congress for not passing gun control laws, so he has decided to invoke an executive order to get his way. Some political writers call this an “imperial presidency.” There is a reason why the Constitution has three branches of government and a balance of power, right? Yet, this is not new, and many presidents do sign executive orders.

I am saddened by the mass killing we are seeing. I especially despise the bad people targeting schools and innocent children. Since I am a retired educator, I feel especially strong about allowing educators the right to carry concealed weapons to school.

The solution is to get all illegal guns off the street and the criminals jailed – if that is even possible. We don’t need new laws or executive orders!
