Cops set bad example with their driving
When is Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer or the local California Highway Patrol commander going to do something about the Highway 180 westbound interchange to Highway 99?
I have watched both CHP and city cops cut in front of people waiting their turn to enter Highway 99. These individuals are supposed to be role models. Instead of pulling people over for failing to drive safely, they are doing the same thing. It’s not because they are on a call, because with CHP it occurs at 4 p.m. and they exit at Olive Avenue. Quitting time, I suppose.
Law enforcement needs to lead by example – not break the law like all these other people cutting in front of cars. Maybe if an officer was visible or ticketing people, it would stop.
It’s hard to teach our kids to respect law enforcement when they take advantage of their position by not waiting their turn or enforcing the law because it’s quitting time.
