Good talks on rail schedule

The high-speed rail administration is working with local businesses to help deal with the changes resulting from that development. The businesses adjacent to the area surrounding the one-way bridges on Tuolumne and Stanislaus streets are understandably concerned about the development. Both bridges will be removed and only one will be replaced.

A number of representatives of this area requested to meet with high-speed rail officials. The purpose of this meeting was to be better prepared for road closures, construction timetables, future detours, modifications necessary to their business activities and other possible business disruptions.

Diana Gomez and her staff members of high-speed rail met with adjacent business owners for two informational meetings. They presented details for our area including street designs.

Now, with the start of construction, we are thankful for this information and feel that we can further communicate any future concerns.
