Council proxy votes stink to high heaven

The Fresno City Council appears to be as out of touch with the citizens of Fresno as the politicians in Washington, D.C., are with rest of the country.

I just read about the notion of proxy voting by the council. My reaction is not printable! Let’s see, they run for a city council seat, get elected and then don’t want to attend meetings. Then they cast votes prior to hearing anything from members of the public, whose exercise their constitutional right to address elected officials.

It looks bad, smells bad and only serves to perpetuate the image of elected officials’ disdain for the citizens. Shame on all of you!
