Trump caught with his facts down

I have been haunted by Donald Trump’s assertion that 81 percent of white murders are by blacks, when actually 82 percent of murdered whites are by whites. When caught, Trump said, “Am I going to check every statistic?”

My answer to him would be, “I would hope so.” This is one of many outrageous statements and “facts” that Trump has voiced.

I expect our next president to be reflective, thoughtful and, above all, to be a critical thinker. I do not want a leader who panders, relies on one liners, and has more than a hint of demagoguery. There are too many other choices and America deserves better.
