Remember Christ’s birth this holiday

It is that time of year again when people are busy shopping and decorating their homes, trying to prepare everything for the big day. S

Stores are filled with hundreds of people shopping all day trying to find the perfect gifts for their friends and families. Buying and receiving presents has become the most important part of Christmas. Christmas has become a worldwide holiday.

To adults, it is a time of spending a lot of money, cooking many fancy foods and a time to party. To children, it is a time when they receive gifts, get to stay home for school and go to many fun places.

However, people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. At the very beginning, Christmas was celebrated as the day that Christ was born. Do our children truly know the real meaning of Christmas? It used to be a time that Christians gathered together to celebrate Christ’s birth and to spend time with their families

Children are no longer allowed to sing Christmas songs or carols in school anymore. Even if our society denies the true meaning of Christmas, it can never change the fact of Christmas, which is the birth of Christ the Savior.
