Indonesian fires affect U.S. too
The earth is one biosystem, and we are all connected. People need to know about the more than 117,000 fires burning this year in Indonesia, destroying archeological treasures and endangered animal and plant species, like clouded leopards and Sumatran tigers.
The smoke covering Indonesia has already cost more than $30 billion. These facts come from the Nov. 6 Guardian Weekly, a newspaper from England. Why have we Americans not been informed of these climate-altering facts in our U.S. news sources? Public support of our governmental climate policies depends upon educated voters.
