Red-haired lady paid for our groceries
Amongst all of the bad and negative happenings in this society, I want to thank wholeheartedly a kind and giving woman who found it in her heart to give.
I was in the express lane at the Clovis Walmart, buying a single family meal, as my sixth-grade son begged me to buy him a candy bar, and the young red-haired lady in line in front of me hung back a few minutes and asked if she could pay for my groceries.
I didn’t really understand what she was saying to me because nobody had ever offered to pay for anything for us. She repeated herself several times before I really understood. She very quietly handed the clerk her credit card and my son and I pushed our cart outside.
There are genuinely good people in this world who never ask for recognition, and they are all amongst us. Thank you beautiful red-haired lady, we will quietly pay it forward. You are a blessing.
