Time for action not talk on blight
I worked for a communications company and was sent to Summerset Village many times before I retired. I have seen this disaster coming since 2001. Sadly, the losers in this are the tenants, not the owner and not the city. They are playing catch-up, and it’s about time.
It is truly sad that all the powers that be have never done their jobs before now, and then complain they have to pay for repairs. Had Chris Henry been a proper landlord, he would have seen the troubles before now. And where were the city inspectors? I suspect there must have been some pay-off.
If you want to take a bite out of blight, then do it and stop talking about it!
