Head Start provides benefits for children, parents

Recently, the U.S. Congress agreed to a budget deal to raise sequester-level budget caps, which thus enables more funding for Head Start.

I cannot strike further the point that Head Start is morally deserving of these dollars. As a parent volunteer, I’ve experienced the positivity of the environs that have influenced my child to flutter her eyes open to the brilliance that is being taught at Head Start centers.

Imperatively, the fundamentals of the alphabet and numbers are in constant abundance, but in addition, the children are being eloquently guided to act with respect to people of all backgrounds, implement wise choices and to practice positive mannerisms.

The impeccable benefits of Head Start do not only radiate on children alone, but to the parent or guardian, as well, all from personal vantages, of course.

Our children implore for Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Jim Costa to keep them upon a path of what can be dreamed into an infinite reality.

Head Start is not preschool, but a proving ground of burgeoning minds, a badge of accomplishment that Head Start children will proudly wear for the rest of their lives. In a child, progression never ceases.
