Obama foreign policies take downhill turn
President Obama’s legacy on foreign policy speaks for itself. He withdrew from Iraq against all military advice, opening the door for ISIS.
He was silent when Iranian pro-democracy demonstrators asked for help, paving the way for greater oppression by the mullahs. He believed any deal was better than no deal with Iran, setting the stage for a Middle East nuclear power.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded the Crimea, and he did nothing except talk, he insured Ukraine would have ongoing conflict within its internationally recognized borders. When Putin started nuclear saber-rattling, and he continued to believe we live in a post-nuclear world, he revived the Cold War, but with only one combatant, Russia.
When he stated that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must go, having crossed a red line, and did nothing, he laid the foundation for the cataclysmic refugee exodus to Europe, inviting ISIS fighters into its major cities.
Hillary Clinton was deeply involved as secretary of state in many of these moves. If you like the current state of the world, with the U.S. forfeiting leadership, she should be your next choice for president.
