I am old enough to remember articles about religious persecution in Russia and China. We fought against communism and the socialist ideals for many reasons, but among them was that we had to protect all people’s right to practice their faith, including protesting and sometimes fighting the spread of the socialist ideology.
Guess what? It’s now in this country big time. Instead of allowing expression and freedom of religion, this country is saying we have freedom of religion, after all it’s in the Constitution. But it only applies to people’s ability to express their faith in church or in private where nobody can see them.
Otherwise, they will be disciplined, prosecuted, fired from jobs. Sounds like religious persecution has not only arrived, but is getting stronger by the day. Government can only be the ultimate ruler when it has eliminated religion and God.
Don’t let this happen. I pray for us to change course back to our country’s founding beliefs based on our faith and values.
