Mayor should demand bonus money be repaid
Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin need not give empty apologies for the bonus fiasco that appears to have been awarded through the back door!
If her apology is genuine, she should mandate that these bonuses be voided. In fact, those favored employees who benefited should not need an administrative push. They should selflessly return what they received.
With these type of underhanded antics, I can see why line employees in city government feel they are given pennies when it is time for merit increases.
