Downtown Fresno’s Darth Vader building needs housecleaning
Some time ago, I touched a sore spot with the mayor when I expressed my opinion about the excessive bonuses paid out to certain city employees, even though budget problems are looming everywhere.
Obviously, this policy is still in effect for those special, loyal employees who toe the line with the mayor. It seems nothing has changed about the special-interest politics and the good old boy club in the Darth Vader building in downtown Fresno.
What a shame the city hasn’t seem to have learned a thing even after monies are tight. Money still seems to show up for those who hide in those dark crevices of “special interests.” It is about time the Starship Fresno crashes down to Earth with a council and mayor that has the city’s residents and sound government in mind.
A housecleaning is way past due! Wake up, Fresno, and take care of your city!
