Thanks to Shinzen Garden volunteers
Last week, my husband I were invited to visit a “soon to open” exhibit at Shinzen Friendship Garden in Woodward Park.
The garden was filled with carpenters, draftsmen, painters and electricians, all volunteers. Upon hearing my comment about so many willing helpers, I learned 35 Marines from Lemoore Naval Air Station had spread all the decomposed granite – 40 tons! Then a bus load of young people from the Church of Latter-day Saints arrived, trowels in hand to plant the grasses, bushes and trees that enhance such a lovely structure.
Bill joins me in sending our appreciation to everyone who helped create this beautiful and serene environment.
