What does Thanksgiving mean to your family?
Thanksgiving is one five-star holiday. No presents to buy, decorations are as near as your prettiest backyard tree leaves and, if you do it right, people you love will be all around. And food, oh my gosh, the food. What’s not to like about that?
With so many options available – sports on TV, turkey trots, turkeys, family games, plenty of time in the kitchen, delicious smells, great movies, even shopping if you want. But what does Thanksgiving mean to you? What are the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and feelings that make this holiday different from all others for you personally? What plans do you have to make the day meaningful for you and your family? Share your thoughts about this special day of gratitude by sending us a letter in 150 words or fewer by Nov. 15. We hope to have many of your letters in The Bee during the Thanksgiving holidays to inspire us all. Oh, and if you are a prolific contributor, it does not count against your monthly limit.
