Flip side of a downtown park
Eric Parsons’ letter (Oct. 30) is a wonderful concept. But, let’s look at the flip side. If, as outlined, a park on the west side of H Street were to become a reality, who would occupy the park at night?
I’m sure the homeless and other street people would welcome such a haven. It’s only a few blocks from their regular encampments and daytime roaming. The experience with the homeless occupying Courthouse Park would be repeated may times over. It’s a problem not easily resolved.
