Good riddance to San Francisco’s last gun store

Good news today. Because of city hostility and a proposed gun-control bill written by San Francisco’s Supervisor Mark Farrell, the last gun store in San Francisco is closing.

The new gun-control law is the first brilliant idea ever. What could be more intimidating than a video of each person as he or she purchases a gun and a report to the police of how much ammunition was sold each week.

The Constitution has no answers as to the reasons why people today want to obsessively own guns, lots of them. Today’s weapons did not exist when the Constitution was written.

Do criminals, mentally ill and angry people believe possessing a gun gives them the Second Amendment right to kill students, children, neighbors and family members? Do hunters kill for food? Do gun owners stop killers who appear unexpectedly? Do victims instead scream, panic, hide, run, play dead, cry and plead? Where can brave saviors carrying hidden protective weapons be found?

It took only the murder of eight people, Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, to find a way to control guns in San Francisco.

I hope, this proposed revolutionary new idea will not be ignored.
