Chukchansi Indians should sell casino to another tribe
I’m really getting tired of reading about the Chukchansi Indians who can’t get their act together enough to re-open their casino.
How can a group of people, with good fortune staring them in the face, not make every effort and compromise possible to solve their problems? Independent gaming officials have quit because they can’t work with them. Even when the tribe has an election, they argue over the outcome. They’re not only losing millions of dollars for their people, but they have affected the lives of a thousand people who just wanted to work and make a living.
I’ve been there numerous times when the casino was up and running, but now, they’ve tarnished the name of the casino and the tribe so much, I don’t know if I would go back if it re-opened.
My solution: Sell the whole complex to that other local tribe that is trying to build a casino near Madera. No one else could have worse results than what we’re seeing now.
