Pope’s visit revealed God’s profound love and forgiveness
What a beautiful visit from the Holy Father Pope Francis to the United States.
His humility, sense of humor words of encouragement, compassion and joy while speaking with God’s people provided much needed hope to many. His visit reminded me of the woman in the Bible who was surrounded by a throng of people as Jesus walked past them. Because of her strong faith, she was satisfied with just touching the hem of Jesus’ garment in an effort to be close to him and to feel his loving presence.
To the many who personally saw Pope Francis’ white garments from afar, we too, just wanted to catch a glimpse of him as he is our Heavenly Father’s ambassador. Like Mother Teresa, his actions speak louder than words.
It is refreshing to witness a man of his stature who chose to eat with the homeless, visit with prisoners, families and ordinary people.
Pope Francis, we pray for you. Please also pray for us, a country that needs to reclaim our faith-based foundation.
Your eyes give us a glimpse of God’s profound love and forgiveness for all his people.
